4″ high x 2 5/8″ wide x 13/16″ deep. Brass body. Brass shackle. The silver fern has been accepted as a symbol of New Zealand’s national identity since the 1880’s. We believe that this lock was made for the New Zealand Army. The fern style dates this lock before 1915. The fern patch was worn in the Boer war, WW1 and WW2.
