O. U. A. M.”. .995″ high x .706 wide x .207″ deep. Brass body. Brass shackle. Nickel plated. “PAT. APD FOR” is stamped on the reverse of the shackle. The “Junior Order United American Mechanics” was organized in May 1853. Empire Council No. 120 was based in Lancaster Pennsylvania. The lock was hand etched and most likely presented to a new member and used as a watch fob. Instructions to open: 1) Insert a rigid pin in the keyway. 2) Move the pin slightly to the right.
