“U.S.& S. CO.” – Large Shackle. 1 1/2″ wide. (Actual: 1.974″ high x 1.496″ wide x .599″ deep). Bronze body. Bronze shackle. Post key. No spring on dust guard. “W.BOHANNAN BROOKLYN, N.Y. PAT. JUNE 25.79” is stamped on the obverse of the shackle. Appears to be a ¾ scale little brother of the WB #76 Large Shackle with uncharacteristic rough cast finish, and exposed case posts. We believe that this was a special order by U. S. & S. Co. Does not appear in any of the WB catalogs that we have.
