“H. SQUIRE REGISTERED WARRANTED SECURE”. 4 1/2″ high x 3 1/8″ wide x 1 5/8″ deep. Weight: 1lb 15ozs. Brass body. Iron shackle. This is an early Brass Lever Lock from Squire’s history. I spoke directly to John Squire about it in 2008, and he says that it is the earliest lock that he has seen with his family name on it. Mfg by Henry Squire.
